This will sound crazy but has anyone else ever noticed how Loki and Frigga both hold their MOUTHS in battle?  Either it’s a tight thin lipped expression that they both share  (when she fights Malekith and when he takes the eyeball from the man in Stuttgart) or, in his case, there’s also the above, a gnashing of teeth.

In either case, it doesn’t make him look like he particularly enjoys doing physical violence.  It looks like he’s learned to be an expert assassin, but wholly of necessity.  And I like that, because it jives with my idea of Loki as a primarily cerebral antagonist. 

I firmly believe that Loki gets off on POWER, but not on violence.
