On watching this I have to wonder just how many movies would have let their “hero” look as helpless as Raleigh looks in this set. Most “hero is fake dead” scenes have the person who finds them either not touch them, or leave them laying straight on the ground so they spring to life or the other character lays across them  so fake dead hero can manfully hold the loved one as he regains consciousness. Raleigh doesn’t do that. He’s so out of it he just lolls onto Mako’s neck and SHE’S the one holding him. She doesn’t just daintily sit there and weep over him, she actively cradles him like male characters are generally depicted as holding female characters in action movies. Yeah he pops back alive good natured and teasing her, but Mako has a protective hold on him that most male characters aren’t allowed to be subjected to in most action movies.
